To be honest, we really don’t need much encouragement to look back on the fabulous night at the Royal Albert Hall in September with the band, Dr John Cooper Clarke and Eight Rounds Rapid, celebrating Wilko’s 70th birthday and 30 years of the Wilko Johnson Band, so here’s a nice review of the evening’s shenanigans courtesy of Rock Society:
We are thrilled to confirm that Wilko will be appearing at the upcoming City Roots festival – associated with Cambridge Folk Festival – to talk about his life in a special live interview at the Cambridge Union Society on 24th February 2018.
Check out the website for ticket details and also information on the rest of the line-up, which includes Tom Robinson and Rich Hall! The citywide festival, celebrating folk and roots, runs from 22nd February to 6th March and is not to be missed.
Here’s a very entertaining clip of Wilko’s appearance on Vintage TV, which airs today (Sunday 3rd) at 5pm! Sure to be unmissable – but if you DO miss it, it’s repeated on September 7th at 10.30pm! You lucky people.
Wilko is one of the luminaries featured in the series and will feature and perform in episode 3, to be aired on Friday September 15th.
